Just Dance Disney Party Review

Thank you to Ubisoft for sponsoring this post. Please click here to learn more about Ubisoft. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective. #UbiChamps

As a huge fan of the Just Dance video game series, I was excited to have the opportunity to review Just Dance Disney Party.

In order to properly help me check out this game (rated E for Everyone), my good friends brought over their cute kids who are 7, 5 and 2. They had also danced with me while I was on the Just Dance Dream Team and own Just Dance for Kids 2. Mom and Dad also joined in for the fun.

We turned on the game and scrolled through the songs.  I recognized almost all of the Disney Favorites but none of the Disney Channel...it's been a while since I watched it :) Mister J picked "The Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book and we were off!

If you've played one of these games before, it's much like the others; hold the controller in your right hand and copy the movements on the screen.  There are four different modes available: Regular (on your own, competing against the others), Team High Score, Freeze & Shake and Balloon Pop.

We didn't like the Freeze & Shake or Balloon Pop modes as much as the others.  It was hard to notice and remember to freeze while the dance steps kept going like normal. I suppose that is part of the challenge, but the other modes are preferable.

I tried "I've Got a Dream" from Tangled, The Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book and "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid (this one was a duet and neither kid wanted to be the boy, so I stepped up for them :).  This game doesn't have as many songs as some of the other versions (only 25), but there is still enough to keep you interested.

As for the kids' opinions of the game:

Miss N said she liked how this game was a lot like their Just Dance for Kids 2.

Mister J said he "liked all of the songs, even the Squirrel in My Pants one..it's so funny"

They really liked playing it and so did I! It's a fun way to get some exercise in without it FEELING like exercise.  I recommend this edition too. You can buy it on Amazon.
