The Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team Era Has Begun!

Day 1

It's hard to even put into words how excited I was to be chosen for the Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team.  I'm sure I drove my hubby, family and friends mildly nuts as I nervously waited for the results. I've been on cloud 9 ever since!

A couple of weeks ago, my husband Eric decided that he wanted us to make some summer goals. We sat down with sheets from my Dwight Schrute To-Do list and I jotted down some quick ideas.

 Last Thursday, he came home and told me specifically about places he wanted to go and things he wanted to do this summer. He asked me to think again about the goals I hoped to accomplish this summer. I didn't hesitate in answering "Lose weight".  The rest remains to be determined, but I AM going to do this.

Look, I made a video! It even has cute pics of me when I was younger. I'll be doing this each month to talk about my progress and show off my dance moves.

Current Stats:

Ah, the prerequisite "before" shots and stats you get to ponder and (in my case)  reveal at the start of a concerted weight loss effort. They're not pretty, but they're also just numbers as I mentioned before. Here's to watching them go down, down down!

My Goals

-I want to do at least 60 minutes, 5x a week of one of my Just Dance video games. I have Just Dance, Just Dance 2 and Just Dance 3. Just Dance for Kids arrived Saturday. I have Abba: You Can Dance too. There's lots of variety so I won't be getting bored.

-I think it will be fun to see how many people I can get to do Just Dance with me.  Hopefully some of them will even let me film us in action, hehe.

-My ultimate goal is to lose 134 pounds, making me half the girl I used to be (yep, do the math and you'll have my highest weight!). While I am on the Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team (now through the week of October 8th), I hope to lose at least 40 pounds.

-I will also do other activities like 5Ks, swimming and yoga. Mister Eric is going to do the latter two with me also.  Go hubby!

-I do Weight Watchers and my goal is to log everything I eat, follow the program and try not to use my extra weekly points. I will also only eat out once a week.

-HAVE FUN! Lots of it, in fact :)

found you on pinterest. I know you'll be able to do it! One thing a trainer told me to remember when dieting, is that your body has to cut thru the carbs to get to the fat. I'm on my own journey, too. I'll check back!! Best of luck! <3

I lost 40 pounds last summer (3.5 months) with Weight Watchers and working out an hour a day. I'm trying for my final 20 this summer. Stick to it and watch the pounds melt off! Good luck, I'll be checking back to see your progress!

What a fun way to get fit! I haven't really tried Just Dance, but enjoy Wii Fit and sometimes Wii Active.
