I Love the Fitness and Diet Apps on my New Android Phone!

Technology is magical.  I recently got an Android smartphone and I am in love.  There's an app for EVERYTHING.  Plagued by mosquitoes in the summer? An app will send out a sound to drive them away. GasBuddy will let you know where the cheapest gas is in town. You can tune a musical instrument.  Get a sky map. Play Scrabble with friends. And so on.

There are also, of course, a plethora of diet and fitness apps.  I downloaded quite a few of them to try out.  They are all available for free download, and many have paid versions too.  On my phone I now have:

  • Active.com
  • C25K Lite
  • CardioTrainer
  • DailyMiler
  • Diet & Food Tracker by Sparkpeople
  • Endomondo
  • Ghost Runner
  • Honest Label Food Scanner
  • iMapMyFITNESS
  • Instant Heart Rate
  • JogTracker
  • My Tracks
  • MyFitnessPal
  • Restaurant Nutrition
  • RunKeeper
  • runstar
  • runtastic
  • Specialty Produce
  • Yoga
  • Zombie, Run!
I'll be testing these out to find out what works best.  I am very happy to see MyFitnessPal on there, as I am going to start tracking my food again and I can now do it on the go.  I like looking up 5Ks on the Active.com app. I am still looking over the rest of them.

What Android apps do you recommend?
