An important part of every diet is fiber. This is found in plants and cannot be digested. It helps things travel along the digestive tract easier. You can find fiber in fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains and it is now added in many products.
I've started making fruit parfaits as a mid-afternoon snack. All you need is:
- Low fat or fat free vanilla yogurt
- Cereal or granola
- Fresh fruit
