Give Me a Challenge!

I've decided to bench myself from walking/jogging for a week or so just to be safe and give my knee a rest.  I am not exactly thrilled about the idea, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I did have an extra week built into the training schedule, so I won't be too far off track.

In the meantime, I'm restless and find myself still wanting some kind of workout.  Who knew?  I thought I would throw out that I will do whatever you challenge me to do (within reason).  Want me to do 100 pushups?  Say so.   Make me swim.  Whatever your fancy...if it's free, won't bother my knee and not too difficult to accomplish (sorry, I can't go swimming with the dolphins right now), I'll do it.

To give you some ideas, I'll tell you some of the things I have around the house:

  • PS2 with Dancing With the Stars Workout (I have DDR too, but that gives you a pounding knee-wise)
  • Wii console with Wii Fit Plus, Jillian Michaels 2010, Just Dance, Your Shape and more
  • Weights
  • Exercise ball
  • Wobble board
  • Resistance band
  • Gym membership where they do have a pool, elliptical, bikes, weights, etc
  • Yoga dvd
That should be enough.  Extra points for something unusual!

I am a big fan of using my own body weight for things..I mean push ups are stinkin hard! And arm circles and leg lifts!

Thanks for the follow on twitter, you look to have a great journey going!

Thanks! I am so happy to find fun people like you on Twitter. Those are some great ideas. I'll have to do some leg lifts tonight and maybe some pushups - been so long!

Its not unusual but I lost some weight through swimming along with long walks most days.

I think you should do the elliptical, the pool, and then some yoga. All my fav ways to exercise besides running : )

15 laps a day in the pool and 30 minutes on the elliptical. And some yoga, just because it's nice.
