Day 6 - Find a Diet Coach. This one won't be quite so easy. I have several friends who I talk to about my whole weight loss efforts. That could be sufficient, perhaps. I also am going to save up so I can sign up at Y-Be-Fit again. I would get to check in with someone once a week. It helped me a lot before, so it will be worth it.
Day 7 - Arrange Your Environment. This is all about making sure your environment will have a positive effect on your weight loss efforts. Getting rid of all the junk foods that tempt you is important. It's a good thing it's pretty much only me - I have roommates, but we don't share food, and I am way too polite to ever just eat any of their food, even if it is something tempting. You're also supposed to put healthy foods out there where you can see them. The book also discusses your work environment, but I don't have to worry about that since I work from home.
Day 8 - Create Time and Energy. Ah, this is a hard one. Since I am my own boss when it comes to my work schedule, I potentially have lots of free time. Energy is often a different matter, though, as well as motivation. I just keep telling myself I have plenty of time to still exercise...and before I know it, the day is over. Starting the Couch to 5K is helping though. I have a set schedule to do every week for 9+ weeks, so I now have a specific reason to go to the gym.
I really do love this book. It makes me stop and really think about what I am doing. If I have bad moments, I know it's not the end of the world, and no reason to keep on making bad decisions. That alone makes a world of difference, and I am grateful for it.
