I think one of the reasons I gained so much weight over the years and kept it on are my weird sleeping habits. I am naturally a night owl. I love the peace and serenity you can find at night. I just feel more alive then. I usually go to bed between 1-3 am, though that varies.
However, like many people, I have that thing called "work" that starts so early in the morning. I find that I get very little sleep during the week, then the weekend comes and I sometimes crash. I sleep 10-12 hours, which interferes with everything else I intend to get done.
However, studies show that the less sleep you get, the more likely you are to be overweight/obese. Check out this info at WebMD.
As hard as it will be, I will get some things (posting on my work website, cleaning, etc) situated this week so I can start trying to get about 6-7 hours of sleep a night. This will be really hard for me. I do think it will help me out though.
